GERMANY – Minebea Intec, a Germany-headquartered global manufacturer of industrial weighing and inspection technologies, has introduced three new MiNexx weight indicators alongside the MiNexx 3000 floor scale.
The launch, taking place ahead of the PPMA Show 2025 in Birmingham from September 23–25, aims to address growing industry demands for process reliability, IT compatibility, and user-friendly weighing solutions.
Bench and floor scales are widely used in industries where precise weight measurement is essential for maintaining product quality, complying with regulatory standards, and improving operational efficiency.
The new MiNexx devices are designed for applications ranging from simple weighing to more specialized functions such as piece counting, filling, and fill quantity control.
Minebea Intec provides services from consultation and installation to maintenance for the MiNexx series and its other product portfolio, which includes load cells, platform scales, metal detectors, checkweighers, X-ray inspection systems, and software solutions.
Features designed for flexibility and integration
The MiNexx indicators, available in C, M, and L models, feature an intuitive interface with a large color display and tools to optimize weighing processes. The MiNexx C is built for installation within control cabinets, with a compact design that supports integration into existing systems.
The MiNexx M and L models come with stainless steel housing rated to protection class IP69, enabling placement near scales, wall mounting, or use on tripods. The M model is suited to compact, direct-operation applications, while the L model includes extended connectivity options for networked industrial environments.
All models include a three-level user management system that assigns access rights and password controls, aligning with cybersecurity standard IEC 62443. This setup helps prevent unauthorized access and data tampering.
MiNexx 3000 floor scale: Heavy-duty performance
The newly launched MiNexx 3000 floor scale offers a standard resolution of 60,000d and supports loads of up to 6 metric tonnes (about 13,227 lb). It has a non-slip tear plate surface designed for safety and stability in daily use.
Its high load capacity makes it suitable for weighing heavy items such as pallets, containers, drums, and bulk bags used in sectors including food and beverage, building materials, chemicals, and metalworking. A hinged load plate enables easier cleaning of the interior, supporting maintenance in demanding environments.
Minebea Intec reports that the MiNexx 3000’s high resolution helps reduce measurement errors, supports traceability, and can minimize material losses, factors that contribute to resource conservation in industrial processes.
The company operates 18 locations with more than 1,000 employees and works with over 200 partners in 72 countries.
Minebea Intec is part of the MinebeaMitsumi Group, a Tokyo-based supplier of high-precision components and electronic solutions.
